Default Yak's Bend...wow!!

I just arrived at Yak's bend with my Mo/Me, and wow it's great. At level 11, and my first time through the mobs are more of a challenge, and I'll need to change up my build and strategy to compensate. The charr were really not too much more than an annoyance in comparison. Of course, I'm sure once I get a tiny bit of strategy worked out these will also seem to be quite easy.

Anyway, I really just wanted to say how much I enjoy this game, the quests, missions, and graphics. It's a lot of fun. Yes I did play the beta (just 3 weekends, and the pre-order), I did pre-order, and I have had the game since the beginning. I don't have enough free-time to have played 100+ hours by now.

I also grouped with random people for the first time in the final mission to get there, and the group was great.

Sometimes it seems as if I am really on the lucky end in terms of gameplay experience, however my item drops would say otherwise.

Don't ask me why people complain so much, I love the game too and I've been through it three times already.

Just you wait until you get to some of the later areas! They look really nice.

you don't start to notice the incompetence of your group until later missions when things actually get difficult and people aren't just severly over leveled for the area they are in.

The shiverpeaks are by far my favorite areas, the only one that competes is Maguuma Jungles. When I first saw the S. Shiverpeaks I thought they were breathtaking but when I arrived, it looked the same as it's northern cousin. \

of all the areas in this game, i think the snow levels look the best. i like the scenery. the jungles with the coastlines are second, desert third, and lava land last.

i once adventured from Temple of Ages all the way to Fishermen's Haven. all i can say is that the scenery is breathtaking. Especially the areas between Talmark Wilderness and Tears of the Fallen.

I did that two nights ago to get to Yaks Bend.

I didn’t know them...and they didn’t know me....but I had one of the best times I have ever had in the game so far. I got to say Guild Wars really comes to life when you group with a bunch of awesome strangers.

Look me up sometimes if you want to party in the Bend.

This may seem strange but my favorite area is actually presearing Ascalon. The small fishing villages in south part are really neat. I never noticed there were there for a long time.

one of my favourite areas in the shiverpeaks is up north of beacons perch ... (just passed yak's to those who havent been there) ...

there is a mines area you go through I forgot the name ... but the scenery is breath taking ... that could ... imho ... be a great entrance spot into a caverned underworld ... the minery and bridge, etc ... look fantastic.

I also like my guildhall!

na i disagree i dont like the shiverpeak but not because of the scenery ^^
i'd prefure kryta and all that stuff such as going from divinity coast to bettletun to bergen hot springs to lions arch to d'alsseio seaboard and the end part of that mission (d'alsseio seaboard) on your way to get danis or something go to your west and there is a beach that i just love to sit at ^^

When I first got to Yak's Bend, all I thought was "Wow, omg, Yaks!!!1!1!!!111!!ONE".

This game does have some pretty cool areas. I especially like the Maguuma and the Shiverpeaks.

Yaks Bend is great. Still prefer Pre-Searing for the looks though. Totally designed to make you angry when you see what the charr do to it.

I also like the snow areas, I think the lava areas look like crap though. I did Abbadon's Mouth today and the ground reminds me of the land in The Sims, with the little squares.

Yeah Yak's bend is fun..finallyout of teh seared landscape..wait until you get to Kryta or teh Desert..you'll enjoy teh game even more
My favorite area is teh Post-ascension southern shiverpeaks, because I know that I cvannot get any higher ;evel, so I have to either find a better build to take on teh mobs, or stay sttuck inside an outpost

I'm surprised there not more love for the Crystal Desert. Its my favorite area. Big ass dead things littering the desert is just cool.

One thing I wish could be implimented is time, so you can do stuff at night, not just eternal noon and seasons. The wet season in Kryta, a semi thaw in the shiverpeaks, the uhhh dry season in the desert. Would be interesting I would think.

Have fun your first time through. I've already seen the first half of the game more times than I can count (beta) and the second half about 3 times + failures. It gets old. But the game's graphics are incredible, so at least it looks nice while you're fighting the same monsters 300,000 times. Most of the whining isn't about the PvE side of the game. It's either about the lack of replay on PvE, or about the grinding to become competitive in PvP. So, so far, you've got nothing to complain about. Enjoy it.

They already have left, they insist on crowding in the forums to see if there's a chance that the game will be good again. Let's not turn this into a flame fest, if you don't like Weezer's comments please don't reply to him. Thank you.

I would if I could avoid him. But I can only see is pointless b!tching so many times before I am moved to comment. And knowing him its bound to happen sooner then later.
